Resources on 2 Thessalonians

Paul wrote this letter to believers who had been troubled and persecuted when they got saved. More recently they had been discouraged by events that were happening around them, as some deceivers were claiming that the Day of the Lord had already come. Confused in their belief and emotions, Paul writes to establish them in the faith. He tells them to stand firm and hold on to what he had taught them. His words can help us to grasp what God has done for us in the past, what he expects us to do now, and what he will yet do for us through his eternal encouragement and good hope.
