Resources on 1–2 Kings

kings-overall.jpg

First and Second Kings discuss the provision God made after the death of the great and famous King David for the maintenance of his people and, where necessary, for their spiritual recovery. That provision was the building by Solomon of the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, and not only the building of the house, but the presence there of God Almighty, as he had promised. If Solomon’s temple was so glorious, how much more is the house that God is building now, where the stones are not made of elaborate concrete, nor even from beautiful marble, but they are living stones.
