When it comes to Bible study, these three remain: structure, pattern and thought flow; but the greatest of these is thought flow.
When asked what they think will happen when they die, a majority of people will express a hope that they will find a place in heaven, but they will admit that they can’t be sure. Anyone who says they are sure of heaven will be regarded as having a ‘holier than thou’ attitude, and of being presumptuous. Moreover, those claiming to be sure of heaven could fall to thinking that this gives them license to live as they please. So what should we believe, and what does the Bible say about these conflicting views?
David Gooding examines these issues in light of the clear teaching of Scripture, and finds ample grounds for a true believer to have a solid confidence that a place in heaven awaits them at the end of life’s journey.
